The Missional Entrepreneur: Principles and Practices for Business as Mission
Business as Mission
Publisher: Birmingham: AL New Hope Publishers
Author: Russell, Mark L. 2010
This book brings BAM into a sharp perspective providing case studies that outline what works, what doesn’t and why. Russell, a good researcher, takes a wide view of BAM and a holistic view of work within the business context – that work in and of itself brings glory to God, it’s not just a means to an end. His chapters on Paul and the Biblical exegesis of work are very helpful and foundational for someone wanting to do BAM. His chapter “Insights for Mission Agencies” is excellent, laying out the difficulties agencies have and suggesting several models by which an agency can work with BAM entrepreneurs.
